This album was released in 1961. Shortly after the release, Howard McNear was cast as Floyd the barber. In 1963 he suffered a stroke that rendered most of the left side of his body paralyzed. Many of the scenes were shot with aim sitting on a bench outside the barbershop, as opposed to trimming hair as before. He left the series in 1967 and died from pneumonia on January 3, 1969. It is very rare to find items from the Andy Griffith show signed by McNear.
